Hi SJD
I think it is an individual thing. Like you, I usually choose pepper over salt. I have a few things I put salt on, but I only use a little bit (one turn of the salt grinder and sometimes even that is too much). My husband and my stepdaughter, however, LOVE salt ... he has to consciously choose to not use itor to limit how much he has, and she just covers her food with salt (she's not at that age yet where she knows how bad it can be for you). I also have a 4 year old niece that you have to hide the salt from because she will just shake it onto her hands and eat it straight.
It's funny you saying when you eat popcorn you feel lethargic. I do too, especially the next day. I always attributed it to a corn allergy, but maybe it is the salt.
