This is not a weight loss forum last I checked so you're in good company.
I understand some of the desperate feelings you wrote about and while I am also in recovery myself, I am appreciating more and more the power of simplicity. Just start with Step 1 and take no stock in the imperfections with your diet-- in other words, don't let them consume you. They will fall away in time as you build yourself up with breakfast first. I know it can seem discouraging to only attempt one small step when your life seems to need so much more fixing, but I've discovered alot of healing in starting somewhere. Most great things in life begin with a seed. Love the little seed of breakfast and it might surprise you what'll grow up. And keep coming back here to chat with us
