I have recently found Potatoes not Prozac in a second hand book shop. After reading it I have identified several thing in it which ring true. I love chocolate and try not to have it in the house as I only eat it all.
I also suffer a lot of low self esteem, anxiety and loss of confidence in myself for no apparent reason.
For the last 18 months or so I have been suffering from chronic insomnia. I have been using sleeping pills (Zopiclone and Kalms). I have tried all sorts of remedies etc to help this problem. My doctor suggested Prozac, but I really did not want to take it and opted for counselling instead. I had noticed the alcohol and sweets sometimes see to make my insomnia worse. After cutting out both I have improved a bit, but am stilling not sleeping properly and I have lots of dreams and wake frequently, the hot flushes I am experiencing at present aren't helping either.
I am wondering if the programme would help me and would like to hear from anyone who can offer me advice.
