When I started Step 1 it was only the Diet Coke and sugar that inspired me to get out of bed and eating.
But I made it a rule that I had to have my tuna salad and whole grain toast FIRST, and then I could eat my donut and Diet Coke. part of me whined, "but the protein ruins the donut!" -- and yeah! I couldn't get as high if I'd eaten something decent first. But it worked for me, and gradually gradually the donut went away and, much later, the Diet Coke. I haven't had a Diet Coke in more than seven years. Hallelujah.
Sounds like you're finding a breakfast that's working.
