I started Step One several months ago...never 'perfected it' and in the meantime, it's been backsliding. I lost steam, somehow. I miss breakfast occasionally and drink coffee with milk and sugar before anything else. Ugh. What's interesting, is I have lost about 12 pounds since starting to eat breakfast with protein without having to change much else. (I work out 3 times a week but was doing that before as well.) SO, I guess I need to re-energize my Step 1. I notice my depression and negative thinking creeping in again. Yeah, the momentum that I felt in the beginning has started to wane. Also, my protein shake has artificial sweetener in it! (Whey protein isolate.) I cannot get anything else here in Germany...and I seem not to be able (yet) to prepare a whole big breakfast. The shake has been great to get me started.
Any advice? or similar experience to share?
