Hi Alicia,

You've already gotten so much great input here, but I also wanted to comment. Sometimes I still find myself expecting the person closest to me to really understand sugar sensitivity (mine) because she has watched me go through it, and seen how different I am off of sugar. But clearly to me, there are times when she just doesn't get it, not at the level I think she would.

So, then I say to myself, "really, I am the one who has to get it. I am the one who has to believe me, and eat what and how I need. No one else." It hasn't changed my ability to have friends, or to be with people.

I still get nervous about it sometimes (traveling, parties), but I am much better. If I am centered in myself, others follow suit without too much struggle.
