heres a funny thing. Having been 'put on a diet' when i was very young, I never did have that much in the way of real sugar regularly. I was encouraged to have saccharine at the time
so I had diet drinks and things. But a really addictive thing for me was salad dressings that had sweeteners in them.
and I felt years of dissatisfaction and seeking. I think the sweet taste primed me regardless ( and I dont really have a sweet tooth, but can find sweeteners in a myriad of savoury things LOL)
splenda, or the
: other replacements,isn't this
: favourable as it would not evoke
: the same response in the body as
: sugar?
Im pretty sure it does evoke the same/similar biochemical response for me. I remember some years ago making a batch of a pretend 'honey mustard' dressing with Splenda and I was in there licking the spoon night and day, and getting really nibblesome and irritable
so my life is a lot easier without that see saw of finding 'disguised sweet things'
theres an article about artificial sweeteners in the resource centre, do have a look ... is informative.
