Re: Working too much
In Response To: Re: Working too much ()

I always have to emphasise to a man when I am getting to know him that I eat regular meals. It is very hard given how many people just graze (unsualll the large ones supposedly trying to lose weight), to have to explain it but I always do. Same with business meetings. I took my own lunch to one a few weeks back, there were sandwiches which were late but I just got mine out on time and ate it. It is not always that easy to do. I had a business trip abroad last month. My suitcase was full of products I can never find in hotels . I even had a raw swede/turnip in there.

: Dear Sharon,

: I started to write a response &
: then hit the wrong key &
: zapped back to the index! Will try
: to start again. Reading your post
: I said- boy is that me!

: Too tired to shop, too tired to do
: all the dirty dishes, too tired to
: cook,blah blah blah! & that's
: exactly how I feel too. Your
: slippery slope is so mine too.

: Years ago I had a boss who proudly
: proclaimed when I started work and
: asked about lunch," I don't
: have time for lunch", which
: meant you shldn't eat lunch
: either. I was the only in the
: office who ate lunch, but by God I
: ate it. I didn't care.

: It's so easy for us to put ourselves
: last. I remember reading something
: about women smoking. This woman
: smoked & then realized that
: the times she took to go outside
: & smoke (5 minutes) was the
: only time she took for herself in
: the whole day. How sad.

: Thanks for reading this. E.
