Re: 12-Step Groups (beyond the food)

I wonder if you could still use both - I think Kathleen recommended this to me, continue going to the oa meetings but you know how everyone has a 'food sponsor' or they come up with some food plan that works for them? And the food plans are different for everyone because some people have different triggers...anyway she had said to use RR as my food plan, and that's what I'm trying to do...I like to go to the OA meetings because I feel like I always get a lot out of the readings, the interaction with others, and knowing I'm not alone in this food addiction and compulsive over-eating.

I am not sure, since I'm still new to RR but...I think it's about having that leap of faith - we have to trust both programs you know? And hopefully they will put an end to our addictive behaviours, we may not be 'cured' but we will have much better coping mechanisms and our brain and body chemistry will heal...that's what everyone on here keeps saying! :h18)
