Hi Fiona,
Nice to meet you,
I've seen your posts here recently.
Even though I was not posting, I was still reading.
Interesting idea about the adrenaline, I really don't know.
I was thinking my BE was high because of all the stress and excitement,
and then when everything quieted down in one fell swoop,
I had a sudden drop in BE.
And then my receptors were screaming-craving,
and I succumbed and gave in to sugar, coffee, the works.
Maybe there's a BE - adrenaline connection,
but that would be a question for Kathleen.
Thanks for your well-wishing,
Happy days to you too

: Hi Sarit,
: Great that you are back. It is great
: that the coffee turned out to be a
: non-event. And that your slip
: became another experience you can
: add to your knowledge about your
: body. (I too am back after almost
: 3 years). I have been enjoying
: reading some old posts, amongst
: them yours.
: I think it is really interesting that
: you slipped after the event. That
: was when I did too, though it took
: a lot longer for me to come back.
: Could it be something to do with
: adrenaline and going through a big
: event we have more adrenaline
: which gives us the ability to be
: able to do what it takes to stay
: steady at a difficult time ...
: AND then after the event we relax
: because we no longer need to be so
: focussed and the adrenaline stops
: flowing. Depending on the
: "event" and what was
: involved could this have caused
: our adrenals to become a little
: tired and needing some recovery
: and (for some of us) more
: susceptible to wanting stimulants
: (coffee, sugar) to give us energy
: even though we know it is
: transient and false???
: Anyway all that is just a thought.
: Hope you are having a happy, and
: steady day,
: Fiona
