Re: anxiety

Hi Debbie welcome to Radiant Recovery community forum!!! I also struggle with anxiety and have been on antidepressants for a long time . I'm pretty new here (step one) but I can tell you that this is a very supportive community with a very gentle, accepting feel to it.
I am working on breakfast and I have found it very steadying and grounding. I'm learning ti "be there" for my body every single morning. It's a gentle but profound change. The food and the new deep commitment to taking care of my body has been healing for me and I hope will help you too.
One theme I hear over and over is that you need to do one step at a time in order and be patient as you heal. We work on one small change at a time, and each step builds on the one before. First we add good food and steady ourselves and then when we are steady we can look at taking away supports like white flour, caffeine and sugar. That is when weight loss can also be worked in. I'd encourage you to work through the steps slowly and gently and keep the antidepressants until you're stable on the other steps.
