Re: new here

:hi and thank you for the advice...I have also been reading on nutrition and have come to the same conclusion. I did go to the doc to rule out any infection but he is not into nutrition so didn't get a lot of support from him. The rash has completely cleared up, I feel great and am back to being optomistic and happy about discovering RR. I had been in the process of eliminating 'not good for me food' from my diet for awhile but love the science and reasoning behind RR. I really like the potatoe before bed, am past cravings for the most part, love the journaling as it has been a life saver as I tried to sort out what was going on with my body. I do so appreciate this site. I guess when the student is ready the teacher appears and I have read and will reread LDE as I continue on in this journey. thanks

Hello Alice and welcome! Can you
: share a few more details of where
: you are at in the program and how
: long you have been doing it? Many
: sensitivities (allergies and
: otherwise) tend to gradually go
: away as you get further along in
: the steps. Are you working the
: steps as outlined or wanting to
: give up sugar all at once? The
: best results happen when we follow
: the program as it is written, not
: deviating and doing it
: "our" way. As one who
: has done that a time or two in the
: beginning, I speak from
: experience..... :h6)

: I have a few theories on why you
: break out when you start to eat
: better. I've studied nutrition
: over the years and so here is one
: thought. When we eat less than
: favorable (or poorly) our body
: tends to store toxins. We can go a
: long time with feeling like
: nothing is wrong but what I find
: is that when we start eating more
: healthy, those toxins are wanting
: to be released from our body and
: the skin is often the first place
: it happens. I've heard it referred
: to as a "healing
: crisis". It really made sense
: to me when I read an article about
: it a year or so ago.

: As you continue to progress through
: the steps, it should ease up and
: eventually dissipate. Many people
: tend to give up and think that
: eating right means they don't feel
: any differently when in fact, it
: proves the opposite over time.

: Hope that gives you a little
: different perspective. Let us know
: how we can assist you with your
: program.

: Warm regards,
: Terri F
