wow - Heather, that's a lot of coffee! are you from New Zealand? I saw the NZ near your name so just a thought.
Anway, I think gradually weaning ourselves off is good - I too am now only de-caf and notice a difference. But actually coffee will only affect me if I eat poorly throughout the day...now that I am eating more fruit and veg, fiber foods, I tell you - my diet was SO horrible, now I'm slowly changing it around - as you know I'm sure, new habits are hard to make at first and its terrible, the temptations to get all the wrong things at supermarkets all the time. But yes: I think also, there is something about the routine of the coffee, tis almost like a ritual, and makes me happy lol..but I guess I could replace that coffee with milk, or herbal tea and still feel like I'm not 'missing out.' :h7)

: :Sorry you are not sleeping well.
: It will help to gradually cut back on
: coffee. The first weeks of cutting
: back were a little challenging for
: me, but a great bonus was to fall
: asleep within minutes at 11 p.m
: and stay asleep until 6 a.m. :h1)
: I found decaf green and black teas
: but am still looking for that
: coffee flavor in a decaf that
: suits me.
: Good luck
