Re: 12-Step Groups
In Response To: Re: 12-Step Groups ()

I am so glad you get that too, and understand - we can quit alcohol and other drugs, but we need food (fortunately, or unfortunately??) for living! Really, so you think cold turkey is not the best way? Everyone at this meeting seems to insist it's the ONLY way, because even a little sugar will set them off to keep wanting more...and I'm still confused, how to completely avoid sugar. Is it even possible? sugar is in everything is it not? Even fruits, vegetables like potatoes, corn, peas, even non-sweet things like plain yogort and milk have lactose!

I totally agree...I am tired of all these meal plans, diets, etc - I want to commit to just one and work on that one alone until I at least progress with IT...so yes, hope Radiant Recovery will be my best recovery diet ever!

Is there any way to get a more detailed idea of a meal plan though? not sure if we are able to share that on here...like an example meal plan for a day...to make sure I'm on the right track.

Thanks Kath!

: Thank god you cannot do it :h11)
: Abstinence is NOT recovery.

: Working the 12 steps is a wonderful
: thing and can greatly enhance your
: life. However food is not like
: alcohol. And going cold turkey is
: not the solution for healing.
: If you want to go to OA, simply use
: RR as your *food plan*. :h2) :h2)
