I think it depends on your nature and your particular challenges.
Steps one and two were easy and ongoing for me. Those could take a lot longer. for someone who is not a breakfast eater and hasn't ever kept any kind of journal
My most challenging step was definitely three. It took me a lot longer and there were several backtracks before it became clear and automatic.
I think each step deserves at least a few weeks of intense concentration even when overlapping with the next one. I was on what I called "step two and a half" for a long time, ready, yet not ready to give up all my between meal snacks.
