Fat intake after detox
In Response To: Re: Peanut butter vs. peanuts? ()

Colette,

I absolutely have had the experience that my fat intake is so high since detoxing. Every day I eat butter, olive oil, coconut cream, nut butters and nuts, and some days cheese too. !I have been astonished by it, but kind of feel like my body needed it for some reason. Do you know what the reason is for this? Is it the nervous system or the brain that needs it? Is it just BE raiser? Just curious. Finally after a year and a half and with awareness it seems to be slowly tapering a bit. I haven't wanted to mess with it too much as I have wanted to just be stable for awhile.

: Hi Kiki,

: I am able to buy peanut butter
: without any salt or sugar at my
: health food store. Many of us find
: that after giving up sugar, our
: craving for fat increases. If
: you're trying to take out the
: sugar too quickly, the high fat
: might be replacing some of the
: sugar craving. This happened to
: me, but has stabilized over time.
: And the cholesterol thing is
: interesting...google sugar and
: cholesterol and see what you find!

: How are meals going? I find if I'm
: not getting enough at meals, or
: not eating on time, it can
: contribute to cravings.
