Hi Denise,
Oh good, glad you are including those complex carbs!
That is a long stretch between lunch and dinner. Adding in planned snacks is just fine, but instead of fruit, how about a protein / carb snack? Having enough food, on time, and with a protein / complex carb really helps to maintain steady blood sugar, and that is one of the things the first 3 steps help us to do.

: Yes, I am adding complex carbs to
: each meal. What I miss is all the
: fruit I used to eat. Now I
: incorporate it with my breakfast
: and occasionally with supper. I
: used to have a banana in between
: breakfast and lunch but have
: stopped eating a snack then. Do
: miss it though. I also had an
: orange around 2:30-3ish to tide me
: over until supper. Trying not to
: snack at all but wonder if it is
: OK in the afternoon since I eat
: breakfast at 5:30am and lunch at
: 10:30. Supper by 5pm when I get
: home from work. It's a long
: stretch.
