Re: Fifth week of caffeine challenge

Hilda;
So you know the feeling too.
I began this challenge because I equated my craving for coffee with the way I used to crave sugar.
I just wanted to be independent of that " need " for caffeine.
It put me back to when I " needed " a sweet dessert and couldn't wait to get it. I would know that part of a cake or a packet of cookies was in the kitchen. I was drawn to it for the lift in energy.
I became that way with coffee . I would pass a coffee shop and the smell would be so enticing.
Luckily the decaf smells just as good.
At lunch out today with my family my order for decaf didn't seem like deprivation. I was energetic enough later to walk to the garden shop and then do some gardening.
It is all very intriguing to me , how when we change our habits , our former "necessities" can fade away or be replaced with something less harmful.
