I used to hate journalling too. When I was a child, people used to buy me journal's for Christmas, and I used to start them and then after a couple of days I would stop, but I always wished I had something to look back at, so many things happen in our lives that we forget, but seeing it written down can bring it all back as though it were happening right at that moment, almost like photographs do that too. So, to make my journal easier, I thought of it that way and as well as the food I ate, I started writing down what had happened in the day also. I always wrote my BREAKFAST, LUNCH and DINNER in upper case and underlined, so that I could distinguish between meals and other stuff.

Don't know if that might work for you, but the secret to it is making it exciting I think, try and think of something that would make you love to write in it, like using different coloured pens or stickers in it, make it like an art project almost.

Of course I get through my journals very quickly this way, and I live in the UK and get all my journals from the £ stores, they have some great ones, and they are also so pretty and I love to see them all piled up!

Hope that helps. Believe me, you DO NOT want to skip the journal step. I would have been completely lost if I had not been doing it. There is nothing to look back on and then we start believing that this food programme is not for us, because we can't see why it's not working if we have a problem. It will get easier, and you will love it when the nice words start to come in, you will look back and see how things have changed. Sometimes it's easy to forget just how much we have improved and in which ways.
