I've been on step 7 for more than 5 years. Certain sweet tastes for me do cause cravings, and others don't. I've wondered too, JoEllen, why it is that something that tastes so sweet like a baked sweet potato don't cause me any cravings. Sometimes when they're baked they're unpleasantly sweet-tasting to me but they aren't a problem for me.

And some sweet tastes are totally unpleasant to me now -- ripe peaches and bananas, for example. Good Earth herbal tea is sometimes too sickly sweet for me and sometimes I like it.

The best result of doing this program is that I have no cravings anymore. Until they stopped I hadn't realized that I basically lived my food life from craving to craving. Now, there might be times when I "have a taste" for something and look forward to eating it, but it doesn't drive me crazy and I don't become obsessed with it.
