Re: So what do y'all think of this idea?

I have just gone gaga for Kashi Steam Meals. I've only had the sesame chicken one but not having ever been one for prepared meals I am very impressed with the ingredients, white meat chicken, veggies and a modest 1 teaspoon of sugar in the sauce (so maybe not ideal for a step 7 person). Only 3.29 at my local natural foods store. Same price at Target.

It has been a great relief to have healthy dinner in 10 minutes from cut open to done! I too get home and go limp so I feel ya.

I have a steamer so I actually steam it solely by the steam not by immersionper the instructions.

Better to do what we can well and improve by it than set the bar too high and constantly feel we can never achieve. Baby stepping myself. One day we will be pros but for now it's okay to cut open a meal and call it a night.

: Hi Allison,

: Well every day when I think about
: meals I say to myself that I can
: handle breakfast and lunch but
: coming up with dinner is too much.
: I don't know if that's laziness,
: lack of creativity, strong dislike
: of being in the
: kitchen/cooking/cleaning up,
: fatigue, lack of appetite - I just
: know that when I give myself
: permission to not worry about
: dinner I feel relieved.

: I'm most tired in the evening, all I
: can think about is getting my
: mom's dinner, making sure she's
: ok, and then going in my room and
: shutting the door. I found this
: web site a few months after moving
: in with my mom so I don't know
: what it would be like working this
: program while living a more
: "normal" life.

: But, good grief, lots of people
: successfully work this program
: with a spouse and small children!
: What's my problem?! I don't know.
: Any ideas?
