I sometimes have extra protein, but I exercise and have a relatively fast metabolism. If you aren't very active, you could try a little less protein. Take your weight in pounds, multiply by .4 and then divide that number by 3 to get the low end of the protein formula range.
You could also build up gradually to the full amount.
