Green tea, yes, without milk you can really taste that delicate, ambrosial green tea flavor. I am new to having it as a chai, which I usually think of as with milk, so thank you for that, Coco!
I was thinking, speaking of Indian food, of making a carrot halwa, maybe even as a breakfast addition. Carrots, studded with cardamom, cooked for so long in milk...could be lovely.
Baked oatmeal: I'm playing with recipes, but basically: a couple of cups of oats, a cup of milk, 1/4 cup or more melted butter, tsp or two of vanilla, tsp of baking powder, pinch of salt, tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 cup to 1 cup of chopped fruit, if desired, 1/2 cup or less if desired of chopped nuts, and from there depending on where you are in the program you can customize it in terms of sweetness or leaving as is. Bake 350 (in the U.S.) for about 40 minutes if in a square pan, but less or more time may be needed. Can be served warm with warm milk poured over, or cold, as is. I think baked oatmeal can be sweet, savory, or more neutral, like a bread. There are some recipes online for baked oatmeal, and there is a recipe or two here in the recipe section. I think sweet potato would be a fabulous addition.
Thanks!
