Hi Jeffry,
Part of step 3 is figuring out how to do life...and yet eat when you need to! Is there a way to problem solve the late nights? Could the snack actually turn into a dinner? Eating at the same time...or close to the same time...helps to stabilize blood sugar. Stabilizing blood sugar helps to stabilize beta endorphins. As beta endorphins settle, so do our cravings. And if I remember correctly, binging was something that troubled you...so the steadier meals, I bet the less you will struggle with those binges.
And you mention protein, but not a complex carb. Just want to make sure...are you getting those great complex carbs in too?

: Some evenings I get home from work at
: 10:30 or so and really don't feel
: like eating dinner and then going
: immediately to bed. I am too
: exhausted and not even hungry. On
: these days I have a protein type
: snack around 6 or 7 p.m.
: So is there any problem skipping
: dinner if I wake up the next
: morning and do my regular 4 part
: breakfast?
: I ask because I am on step 3 and I
: trying to do three meals a day
: with protein at the same time.
: However, life is not perfect and
: my schedule does not always permit
: this.
: Thanks.
