Joy dot: I finally saw our hummingbird visitor this morning. My husband had said we had our first one, but I hadn't seen it yet. It's a male black chinned hummingbird. The males migrate here first, so they can establish territories. Then the females come later. At the end of the season, the males leave first, then the females, and juveniles are last.

This isn't an ice cream recipe, but it's something I was served at someone's house that might satisfy the urge for ice cream.

Put frozen fruit in a bowl - raspberries, blackberries or blueberries work well, or you could put strawberries or peaches cut into small pieces.

Pour some half and half over it. The half and half will freeze and make a cold, creamy dessert. Beware if you have cold sensitive teeth, because you have to chew the berries.
