It takes a while for binging to stop - generally it won't stop on step 1. But, step 1 is the foundation to the other steps that will make it stop.
Have you figured out how much protein you need for breakfast? Peanut butter is probably not enough. I would have to eat 6 tablespoons to get enough protein, and I am not all that big. I use peanut butter as supplemental protein.
To figure it out, take your weight in pounds, up to 250 lb, and divide it by 6. That's how many grams of protein you are aiming for. There are 7 grams of protein in 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Another method is to eat a fist sized portion of protein (but that would be a lot of peanut butter!)
Are you vegan, or do you eat eggs and dairy? If you eat eggs and dairy, I would try having eggs, or cottage cheese, or something more substantial than peanut butter. I have a protein shake made with George's Restore, with some greek yogurt and peanut butter added to top up the protein. If I have eggs, I need three, with some cheese. In the past, I've also had a veggie burger with cheese or a fried egg on top, or refried beans with cheese, and some toast for my complex carb.
