Re: Sugar in milk and yogurt
In Response To: Re: Sugar in milk and yogurt ()

Hi there,

I am going to respond to your concerns right in your post....

You are right - I try to do a lot at
: once, because I'm so anxious to
: get rid of my sugar cravings!

We all understand this. :h11)

: I thought that cold-turkey giving up
: the foods that have lots of sugar
: was the only way to get rid of
: these cravings!

Nope :h4) , that would actually be the WORST thing to do.
have you had a chance to read Potatoes not Prozac yet?

: I don't have good appetite in the
: morning, maybe because I eat late
: at night? Do you guys suggest I
: work on trying to eat in the
: morning and have my last meal
: earlier in the day (no later than
: 7 or 8 pm?) It's terrible habit I
: know...I usually find myself with
: hunger around 10 pm, and then I
: always want something like cereal,
: cookies, brownies...

Best thing to do is just start with Step one, which is breakfast. Just focus on that.

: The worst part is I tell myself I'll
: be better tomorrow...and the next
: day...I have to break the cycle
: but it's so hard knowing how!

the way to break the cycle is to *heal* the cause of it.
And cold turkey is not the way. :s2(

: But in terms of breakfast, the idea
: of eating first thing in the
: morning is tough and makes me feel
: a bit sick, as I'm not use to
: eating early. The best I could do
: is probably a cup of plain organic
: yogurt, like those individual
: servings they sell at the
: supermarkets.

You can start with that. :h2) Put some fruit in it, You will feel better.

: Again any advice/suggestions would be
: great! Just fyi, I am vegetarian
: so I'm trying to use more nonfat
: milk and yogurt as protein
: sources.

Please use whole milk, you will feel a LOT better.
