Joy dot: woodpeckers calling in our yard
Hi Barbara
the number of grams of protein in a measure of food is different with different foods. No food is pure protein, so even with meat, you don't just measure out 25 grams of meat to get your 25 grams of protein. I am not sure how food is measured where you live. I am in the US, so meat is sold in pounds. An ounce of most meats has about 7 grams of protein - so does an ounce of cheese. A large egg has 6 grams. MOst other foods give nutritional information on the package. But I don't know if that's true in Greece. I know in the UK, food packages list grams of protein per 100 grams of the food.
You can probably find an online source that will tell you how much protein is in different foods that makes sense for how you measure it. But there's no standard conversion that will tell you how many grams in a cup, because a cup is a measurement of volume, and a gram is a measurement of weight, and a cup of flour will weigh less than a cup of meat, most likely.

: Wow! I just realised that I need 75
: grams of protein per day, which
: means that I need 25 grams only
: for breakfast. How do I know how
: much protein there's in each food?
: Also, how many grams exactly make a

: only using it for liquid, not rice
: or rice cakes! Oh, dear!
