Thanks everyone. I hadn't been thinking of legumes as a brown. I heard somewhere else that quinoa is kosher for passover. Yum!

Unfortunately I have never seen wholemeal matzo in New Zealand. Just ordinary matzo is $10 a box, and in my small town the only way to get it is special ordered from someone delegated to drive to Auckland and buy it for us all at the synagogue there. Because of the cost, matzo is not a staple of my passover anyway- I make my one box last the whole week.

(BTW I always wondered how much a box of matzo costs in the US where I assume its more widely available and competitively priced)
