Re: Absent but not gone

: Hi there,
: I'm so sorry you are dealing with
: candida overgrowth, and while I
: haven't had this issue, I did want
: to share an experience just in
: case you may find it helpful in
: your path. I was dx with an
: autoimmune disease, and there is a
: lot of anecdotal evidence about
: following a specific dietary plan
: for this disease that removed
: grains and potatoes. I thought,
: with a doctor's encouragement,
: that I could combine doing this
: program and that program. I
: checked in with Kathleen about it.
: I was careful and thoughtful. What
: I learned was: following this RR
: program keeps my blood sugar
: steady. That for me needs to be
: the foundation: steady blood
: sugar, as that is my weakest leg
: on the three legged stool of sugar
: sensitivity. Eliminating the foods
: that hold and keep me steady
: caused me to lean toward sugar. I
: did not have my steady energy
: throughout the day. I felt a bit
: irritable, which is so not me! I
: re- learned that keeping my blood
: sugar steady helps with
: inflammation and naturally helps
: with energy. What I have found
: also is that for browns, what
: works so well for me is beans, and
: sweet potatoes, and brown rice.
: But beans, wow, that has been such
: a surprise. So you see I learned
: some things, and reinforced what I
: learned before, but my biggest
: take home message was: I'm sugar
: sensitive and Kathleen's program
: is the core of my healing.
: Absolute best wishes to you and I
: wish you radiant health and
: freedom from the symptoms of
: candida overgrowth; I know you'll
: find out what works out best for
: your body, and thank you for
: reading my own little story! :h5)
