Re: adding sugar into diet?

:s4( I think I actually "got it" today (for a beginner..lol). Tomorrow is my birthday, so I got up and had my shake (brown rice protein with almond milk and banana) and oatmeal then I decided that I wouldn't "worry" about lunch (my birthday lunch at Carrabas. It was WONDERFUL -- Sangria, Chicken Marsala, Bread with oil and herbs and a chocolate dessert...and I ENJOYED it! I'm still dreadfully full, but not "guilty" feeling and disgusted with myself (and I didn't clean my plate, because I didn't want to). I think that's the feeling we want to have, right? That enjoyment without stress over our food? Anyway...just my thought of the day (and I'm only on Step One. Trying to figure it out.)

: Copper, I loved Kathleens advice so
: much ( could have been written for
: me!)

:

what works best is to master step
: one. Think about it. Improve it,
: enjoy it, talk with others about
: it.

: what you are doing is thinking about
: sugar and binges. And what to do
: for all day

: Just focus on breakfast. JUST that.

: if you want sugar, have it. If you
: don't, don't...if you binge, don't
: fret about it.
: Put your energy into Step One. Just
: that.

: this is how the program works.

: I came from LC tooo. had not had
: sugar really for 4 years. Apart
: from the odd intermittent sugar
: which was awful, I felt really
: crazy with that.

: I chose not to add sugar, as I
: seriously did not want any, but I
: still needed to work with every
: bit of every step to be healing.
: It was a really good move for me.

: A farily swift 1,2,3,4 and I didnt
: get the benefit. Living the steps
: works...it really does. I'm really
: looking forward to hearing about
: your step one :h11)
