Re: breakfast and exercise

This is where I'm stuck too.
I've been doing/trying to do step one for a couple of weeks now, and the part I have the most difficulty with is to eat within an hour of waking. I also have an entrenched morning practice of exercise before I eat, 30-90 minutes of yoga 3-4 days a week and a strength programme the other 3 mornings. This practice has managed my chronic pain condition successfully for so many years that I hardly ever feel it any more.
So its been a real turn around to try eating first because of the two hours fasting before yoga rule. I usually get up about 7 and start working at home as an artist by 9 then go out to work in a call centre from mid-afternoon to mid-evening most days.
I've tried a few different options like stopping art-work mid-morning to do some yoga or strength training. On one of the days that I don't take calls I did an early evening yoga session. One positive thing I've noticed is that the later in the day I do yoga the more flexible I am! I've also tried doing a very short yoga session before breakfast because that's when I really want to do it but then I'm not really giving either the yoga or step one its due.
But! Its very hard for me pull out of my 'zone' when making art and do some exercise. I have missed lots of days of exercise in these two weeks and the pain levels are creeping up and up.
So I was relieved to see that having a small shake before exercise and catching up with the rest of the protein and brown afterwards could work. I will certainly try it. I'm up for trying just about anything to fit both morning yoga and early breakfast into my life. More suggestions welcome!
