Joy dot: reading about the red tulips
Have you tried garam masala on your sweet potatoes? We make oven fries sprinkled with garam masala, and I like it even better than cinnamon.

There are some little tulips I used to have that were called species tulips, I think. They had very pointy flowers, and they come up every year instead of having to be replanted like most tulips. I had pink ones, but they also come in red. I wonder if that's what you saw, or one of those fancy double bloom ones. I love tulips, but I am lazy and want to plant things that will come up year after year.
