About three weeks ago I started cooking food ahead of time so I would have food on hand. This is huge for me since I am not a left over person. I have a hard time eating left overs. But I did well and ate all the left overs. On saturday I choose two or three recipes that I want to make (looking at new recipes) and on Sunday I head to the store to get anything I need to make the recipes.
My first week I cooked all the food on Sunday for the whole week. Not a good thing. Things did not feel fresh and I ended up throwing half of it out. Now I cook through out the week right after I get home from work (before I do my cleaning). It has been working wonderfully.
It has made a huge difference
I am really enjoying putting on my apron (yes I love wearing my apron) and putting program friendly ingredients together and coming up with a wonderful meal. Some things turn out wonderful and some I won't make again. I have realized that i have to really love the food or I have a hard time eating it.
