Janine - you are spot on about teaching being all about adrenalin popping all over the place and teachers gulping coffee and junk food to keep going at that frantic pace.....
It is such a blessing to now know the right food to bring with me to school. They just gape at my food box there, checking out what I have brought with me today.
Today I had meatballs in tomato sauce, cut up into bite-size pieces, chopped walnuts and pecans sprinked on top, and whole-grain crackers on the side. They keep saying "what good care you take of yourself" and "how good you are to yourself investing all that time and effort to make your food".
I just know how steady it makes me and how absolutely worth it it is.
Regina, I hope you find your steady slowly but surely.
It's worth every step of the journey.

: Hi Regina!
: So nice to meet you!
: I'm glad you are here.
: I can just imagine the huge
: transition it has been for you to
: go from teaching to taking time
: off. I have worked in the field of
: education, and I've seen how
: intensely hard classroom teachers
: work. There seems to be a lot of
: adrenaline, and I've often noticed
: how many teachers seem to drink a
: lot of coffee and there are a lot
: of sweets in the offices and break
: rooms. So, I am so glad to read
: about how you are taking time to
: heal and nurture yourself.
: Thanks,
: Janine
