Joy dot: after a cloudy, cold Saturday, Sunday was warm and sunny and my daffodils have buds now and there was a wren singing somewhere nearby.
There is no way I can exercise in the morning before eating without having a blood sugar crash. What I do is to have a protein shake - my stomach can handle that. But our gym is half an hour from our house, so I have some time to digest the food. (We live in the suburbs and our gym is in the city we work in.)
I think in your situation I'd need to have something, maybe half a protein shake, before heading to the gym, and then have the rest of my breakfast when I returned. Remember, when you wake up, you haven't eaten in hours. And what we are trying to do is to eliminate blood sugar crashes, because they cause all sorts of nasty biochemical results that cause depression, cravings, mood swings etc.

: Hi everyone,
: I have been doing step 1 for a few
: weeks now. My question is about
: time. I exercise fairly often. I
: am used to exercising right when I
: get up for about a half hour on
: the elliptical at the gym. I get
: up most days at 7:00 and am home
: from the gym by 7:50 which is when
: I make breakfast. Sometimes by the
: time I eat it is 8:10, therefore
: not really within the hour. Am I
: being insane or is this within the
: time frame? Exercising after I eat
: is not really something I think is
: good because of digestion. I
: cannot wait 2 hours because of
: work. I cannot exercise at night-
: I hate to and work some nights. I
: also do yoga on 2 days a week
: which is no problem because
: classes start later.
: Any thoughts?
: I am trying to do steps one at a time
: but exercise is not something that
: I think I should stop.
