You're doing something that is so good and right but I expect our mother is glad you will be getting some help. Mine always said never look after me when I;m old, put me in a home. I often wonder why she was so adamant about that and in the end died of cancer at 76 in her own home (my father was still alive and with her then). Perhaps she'd seen what it can do to people to be a sole carer and yet it must be so much nicer to be in your own home. I am pretty sure most of us who are mothers looking forward would want our children to have enough free time to feel rested and good, not matter what compromises would have to be made with our care. I do.

I hope you find the 2 afternoons of help useful and may be there can be even more arranged to make your life easier. You cannot care for your mother if you don't care for your own health. She would want you to do so. Get back for those medical checks for yourself.
