Re: Step 1

Thank you Colette!

For browns I have brown rice, whole grain oats, whole grain pasta... and that's about it. I'm not very creative at meal time. I never think of "dinner" food for breakfast. Man, I would have loved a cheeseburger this morning!

Chicken is a must for me. I always have some. Also, I take Omega 3 (a tsp every morning), the 3-1 EFA type to help my brain in its recovery process.

Yes, I'm tired of the back-and-forth. Thank you kindly for your advice :h11)

: Welcome Jimmy James!

: When I first started the program, I
: really enjoyed the shake...it was
: quick and easy, and that's what I
: needed to get started. Sometimes I
: will go back to shake, but I
: really like other protein for
: breakfast...my usual is chicken.
: One of my daughters loves
: hamburgers for breakfast, and was
: so excited when we first started
: the program.

: You didn't mention what you are
: having for a brown, and increasing
: that might make a difference too.
: Also, adding in some fat.

: Dizzy and faint for me is usually a
: sign of low blood sugar, so I know
: I'm not eating soon enough...or
: not eating enough when that
: happens.

: And going cold turkey is really hard
: on our brains and our bodies.
: Right now, just focusing on
: getting enough protein and a
: complex carb is great. Don't worry
: about the rest of the day, and
: having ginger-ale is just fine.
: What this program does is add in
: stuff before taking out the sugar.
: Doing it slowly will give your
: brain and body time to adjust to
: the change. Otherwise, we do that
: back and forth thing of eating
: good...and then grabbing anything
: sweet because we are in
: withdrawal.

: Nice to have your here!

: Colette
