Breakfast/Step 1

Hello everyone, I read Last Diet about a week ago and have been on step 1 for about 6 days now. I have regularly been eating my breakfast with protein and I partially skipped ahead and have potatoes b4 bed because I tried it the night I read the book and felt great the next morning. My question is, I have more energy, I'm not crashing as bad mid day like I was before but I find myself in between dinner and night potatoes having really bad snacking cravings. I try and fight them, sometimes I'm successful otherwise I will eat some fat free popcorn. Is this ok or does anyone have any advice that could help me get along a little better.
