great news about your focus on step two.
I remember step 2 as being hard at first. I was trying to see patterns and decode everything, and getting annoyed because I just kept writing 'Anxious' in it, and getting impatient because it wasnt changing.
in retrospect I see I was doing just fine at the time... early journal was about learning how to get information on the page for me, consistency, every day. I used to save it up and try and journal in the eve, all sorts. Learning how to acknowledge the immediacy of the feelings 'at the time' instead of dismissing or ignoring it
Getting the 'feel' for journal. Now I am fussy about the pen I like to use plain journals that I use quite methodically - I have designated spaces for food, emotions/ physical, movement and some detail about the day. I have a review space at the bottom of the page because that really helps me All that evolved gradually..i think the steps formed it for me
I think thats why Your Body Speaks journal from the store is loved by so many.. its got a structure to it so its ever so convenient.
My favourite favourite realisation about journal is that there is no judgement to it. It is a dialogue between me and my body. When I realised that I started to love it
as for reviewing, patterns, feedback... I got a glimmer with step 3 ( when happy words appeared ) and then with step 6. Things got clear enough then for a little fun detective stuff.
what are you liking at the moment? Do you write every day?
