joy dot: a fridge full of food
I have been having some challenges with exercising after work - my blood sugar does much better when I exercise before work. But we have a 14 year old dog who spends the day outside, and it's so cold early in the morning that we don't want to put her outside until a bit later.
So I decided I needed to work out this problem. Last week I found a frozen container of turkey chili and had half of that before working out. That worked much better than cheese and hummous and veggies. So this weekend I decided to cook up some pre workout food, as well as portable snack food.
Yesterday afternoon, I had a marathon cooking session. I made spaghetti pie, yam cakes and tuna croquettes. Today I have half of a very fat sandwich and some yam cakes for pre and post workout food. I will try different things and see what my journal says.
And, Sarit, I put music on when I was cooking - made it go much faster.
