fun little sentence from a Sue Grafton book
So I'm reading the whole Sue Grafton "A is for ____" and so on (all the letters of the alphabet are done in the series.)
I just finished "U is for Undertow", and read this sentence about a character, Walker, who is a recovering alcoholic:
Walker opened his bag and removed the four candy bars. He offered Jon a Three Musketeers bar and kept the other three for himself.
Jon said, "I didn't know you had a sweet tooth."
"It's weird," Walker said "Now that I'm off alcohol, I crave sugar."
Not that big of a deal, but a fun little thing in a book I was reading for pleasure.
