need guidance

Hi, I am new to this specific program. However, at my naturopathic physician's recommendation, I have been on a food plan for the past 6 months that very closely resembles a combination of Steps 1 thru 6 but without the potato; and, the food journal was just a list of foods I ate. And the food plan also included the elimination of wheat and sugar from the start because those are trigger foods for me that result in cravings/binges. I got off track a bit during the holidays and had sugar, but no sugar since then and I still have mood swings, headaches, and overall feel depressed and fatigued. I've been in therapy for the past year for the depression. I don't want to take anti-depressants again, and in my search for other options I just discovered and read the book, "Potatoes, Not Prozac," and see that I definitely fit the profile for sugar sensitivity. I want to feel better, and considering the food plan I've been on for the past 6 months I wonder how to best begin this program? Should I add the potato now? Or start with Step 1? I have given up trying to figure out how to feel better on my own, and would appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thank you! -Ann
