Joy dot: Yummy salad for lunch - I bought baby bok choy and chinese cabbage to mix with the lettuce
Siobhan, you are certainly not the only person who has gone too fast and had to redo. But it's not a bad thing - I'm sure you learned valuable things so it will be easier when you get back to those steps. I actually did most of the program on another plan, and although I didn't backtrack, I wish I had done the program bit by bit in some ways. I missed a lot of the subtle little changes that people share on the forum because there was so much happening at once, I didn't get to psychologically say goodbye to sugar, so I spent the first year inventing desserts I could eat, and I didn't get stable and steady any faster than people who did the steps slowly. (When I gave up sugar on the other plan, I didn't realize it was forever, but once I wasn't eating it regularly, I got sick when I had it again.)
Your breakfast sounds good. If you like omelets, you could make your three eggs as an omelet and add an ounce of cheese or some canadian bacon and see if it makes a difference in how you feel. I have shake on weekdays, and omelet and toast on weekends.

: Thank you everyone. And thank you
: Kathleen, I definitely appreciate
: your advice from all your many
: years of experience working with
: us sugar sensitives. I was just
: wondering if anyone else in the
: community rushed ahead like me and
: then had to redo. Thank you Mosaic
: for your advice about redoing. And
: thank you everyone else too for
: your support.
: Today I woke up feeling much better.
: It might have helped that the sun
: was shining... I will go back to
: breakfast though and just
: concentrate on that. Is it okay if
: I still eat the potato? Or skip
: it? I have really enjoyed adding
: in the potato and last night ate a
: bigger one and am wondering if
: that helped me today.
: But breakfast. I eat 3 eggs, 1 slice
: of ezekial toast with butter and
: on weekends I usually add 2 slices
: of bacon. I also always drink hot
: water with lemon. This is
: something I REALLY enjoy. I have
: tried the shake but am not a big
: shake person. I think in the
: summer, when fruit is at its peak,
: I might give the shake another
: chance. But right now, I so enjoy
: eggs and toast! I went out to
: breakfast with my husband on
: Sunday and had 3 eggs, 3 slices of
: bacon, 1.5 slices of whole wheat
: bread with butter and a few red
: potatoes "home fries".
: It was delicious. I am sure one
: day I will get sick of eggs, but
: right now, I love it. I also found
: it best that I eat within 30
: minutes of waking up. I am suppose
: to have 30 grams of protein which
: 3 eggs isn't enough, should I try
: to add in 9 more grams of protein?
: I come close when I eat bacon too.
: This has been holding me until
: lunch.
: Thanks again everyone for your
: support and Kathleen for your
: patience with another person that
: read "take it slow" but
: proceeded quickly anyway.
