Hi everyone
I have just got back from food shopping in town and have seen something that one of my facebook friends has posted on there. She is complaining about being kept waiting for twenty minutes when she has booked an appointment for something, saying that it is very rude of them to keep her waiting. To start with I thought it was a joke, it just seemed so overly dramatic...then I realised "well, she is definitely sugar sensitive."
The really strange part is that I then realised that before I came here and started doing the food, that would have been soooooo me!!! Everything was "about me" when I was eating sugars, and of course I thought everyone felt the same as I did about things, that everyone got wound up, or annoyed at the same things that I did, and I suspect that the facebook friend is thinking this too.
I commented on what she had put, saying "perhaps the people before you took longer than expected, things like this happen sometimes."
Sometimes we can forget how far we have come on this programme, and it's nice to get the little reminders that make us smile at the thought that we are no longer where we once were. Incidentally, I mentioned this programme to the facebook friend a few years ago but she wasn't interested in it.
Love
Jane
