Re: Absent but not gone

Hi Gail K,

Going slowly, and starting with step 1 sounds perfect. Have you figured out a breakfast you like yet?

I tried the diet recommended for Candida, but didn't do well with it. I couldn't resist the intense cravings I would get for sugar, and eventually would just go back to eating it. This has been the best way of eating for me, and I don't struggle with the sugar monster daily like I used to.

It looks like you are eating protein, but are you having a complex carb with breakfast. The combination of the 2 has made a huge difference for me!

: Hi everyone,
: I have not posted in a long time and
: have not followed the program
: except to try and eat protein with
: all my meals....especially my
: breakfast and to come here from
: time to time to read your posts.

: I have been dealing with a self
: diagnosed problem that I think I
: have had for several years. It is
: something that most medical
: doctors do not recognize, although
: mine has started me on a rx
: recently. I have been trying to
: treat my constant yeast infection
: for several months with natural
: antifungals but whenever I stop
: them the sugar just keeps it
: going. I have gotten a lot of
: relief from the treatments but if
: I don't get off sugar permanently
: I am sure it will just continue to
: return. Also, I get terrible side
: effects when I am agressively
: using the antifungals.

: Starting tomorrow morning I am going
: to start with step 1. I want to
: take it slow because I have even
: notice that when I go off sugar
: cold turkey for a few days I get
: the bad side effects too.

: Is there anyone out there that has
: dealt with this candida
: overgrowth? I need to know that
: there is a way to get this under
: control and if finally getting off
: sugar will help with this.
