Hi Dodi,
Glad you are willing to take a look at this part of your recovery!
Coffee was not one of my addictions, but I can give you some feedback as far as food. Stress...like PMS and work... equals adding in more food for me. And you have really gone through a lot of changes...cutting back on the caffeine, adding in fruit, adding in more potato, and adding in more fish oil. I've learned that even adding in takes my body a while to adjust. So not sure about the caffeine part, but with stress and all the adding in you have done...I would need time to just let everything settle for a bit, and not rush myself with trying to give something up.
And what I've heard from others who have given up coffee, it seems like it is pretty smooth when it is done slowly...cutting back just bit by bit.

: Hi all,
: Just an update on my caffeine
: weaning. I'm down to 1 cup of
: coffee as opposed to 5(!), so I
: feel really good with what I've
: done so far. However, in my 4-week
: plan, I was supposed to be
: completely off by now, but last
: week major PMS hit and I've got a
: looming deadline at work, so I
: just couldn't face giving up that
: last cup. Not sure if these are
: just excuses and fear, or if I'm
: just being smart about what my
: body/mind can handle. When it
: comes to this substance, I've been
: really good about justifying its
: use and fooling myself. Not sure
: that anyone has my answer, I'm
: just thinking out loud so to
: speak.
: I've added snacks back in like the
: article that Kathleen wrote
: suggested. My potato is quite
: large now, too - at least 4 oz.
: Adding more fish oil caps seemed
: to give me diarrhea (or maybe it
: was just detoxing each cup I gave
: up?) Any other suggestions of how
: to support myself as I face this
: final detox?
: Thanks,
: Dodi
