So the alarm is set for 6:15 and my eyes open at 6:14 (before the alarm) this is not unusual. But what I normally do is hit snooze for the next hour and a half and yes that was not an exaggeration or typo. I even have to get up and cross the room to turn off the alarm - every nine minutes. And yes I can fall right back to sleep and even have a cozy dream or two. I usually only get up because I am going to be really late for work. I think I can count on one hand how many times (in my whole life) that I have gotten up without hitting snooze. I can get to work anytime from 7:00 to 8:30 so my mornings are very flexible.
Today the alarm goes off and I tell myself. Just get up. See what it is like. I know you want to go back to bed. But just try it you might like it. I did and I felt amazing. I loved it.
Then at breakfast I finished my whole shake. Normally I leave about 4 sips. Afraid to finish it all. Afraid that it might just all come back up. I tell myself this morning Just try to finish it - there is only a little left. You can do just try it. And I did and I SURVIVED.
It has been a good day so far.
