Hi Chelsea and welcome! The great thing about PNP is that it is your plan. The important thing (to start) is getting adequate protein for your body and a complex carb (brown) for breakfast. And it can be any protein and brown that is available and that you like: meat, eggs, nuts, yogurt, tofu, protein powder or some combination of those, with whatever carb works for you. LOTS of suggestions in the book, and here. And when you get to the later steps, it is more of that, creating healthy and balanced meals. A lot of people use protein shakes, but you don't have to - it's perfectly possible to create your plan out of regular foods.
