Re: Back to breakfast basics
In Response To: Back to breakfast basics ()

Sarit,

That class is a wonderful class! I think you'll really enjoy it.

And good on you for revisiting breakfast! I've known others that are *full* in the morning if they eat too late at night. It sounds like your have made a great discovery!

: Hi all,

: I am looking forward to starting the
: What's Imbedded in the Steps class
: this Wednesday.

: Meanwhile, something interesting has
: taken place.
: After 8 months on the program, doing
: many of the steps all together
: (1,2,3,5,6), and being steady with
: most of that, I have finally
: "settled down" enough in
: my mind to buckle down to
: breakfast :h9)

: I don't know how it happened, but I
: just decided a few days ago to let
: go and focus on breakfast. I don't
: really think it "just
: happened".........I'm sure
: that some subconscious process has
: been taking place all along, and
: that now I am ready to work on the
: 4 parts of breakfast.

: The hardest part for me is
: "within the hour". The
: other 3 parts are fine.
: What is interesting is that for me,
: breakfast starts the night before.
: If I've eaten dinner too late, I will
: not be hungry enough for BF within
: the hour. I will feel full and
: "sluggish in the gut",
: and will tend to put it off
: because my stomach is not ready.

: But if I stick to a supper of 6pm (or
: 7 at the latest - because I am
: still teaching private pupils till
: then...) then I am able to have BF
: closer to within the hour.

: It is still not quite within the
: hour.........it's more like an
: hour and ten minutes, and can even
: be longer than that. So I am still
: working on it.

: What's really nice, is that lunch and
: dinner are still the same steady
: protein-carb-veggie meals I've
: been having all along. Focusing on
: BF does not detract from the good
: things I am doing for myself at
: lunch and dinner. So I am really
: pleased :h4)

: It's really funny to see how things
: unfold during evening staff
: meetings (my staff of English
: teachers meets in the evening at
: the home of one or another of the
: teachers).
: Last week at such a meeting, as
: always, everyone brought
: something, the table was
: overflowing with a
: "light" dinner and tons
: of dessert.......everything
: home-made and esthetic and
: smelling scrumptious. They just
: could not believe how I sat in
: front of all that and simply
: sipped on my herbal tea, totally
: peaceful and content. I had eaten
: dinner at home and
: "noshed" on my tea. I
: was totally fine with that, and
: felt alert and calm all meeting
: through, even though we finished
: at 10:30 pm! :h7)

: So life continues to be steady, and I
: am thinking breakfast :h2)

: I feel ready to hear about the
: embedded things, and before
: learning about those
: "things", I'd like to
: understand what that concept of
: "embedded things"
: actually means.........that is,
: what does it translate into or how
: does it manifest itself in our
: program? Can't wait for
: Wednesday..... :h15)
